Habs Captain's Season Ended By Injury
Montreal Canadiens' Brian Gionta is out for the rest of the season, which depending on what happens tomorrow, could be one game.
Gionta suffered an injury to his arm a week ago and found out today that he needs surgery, scheduled for this Friday. This means his season is at an end. This is the sort of news nobody wants to hear and Gionta was visibly upset when he heard the news. Any injury is bad news to miss a potential (although slim) shot at the cup must be pretty galling.
We wish Gionta a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the ice as soon as possible.
