Avalanche Maintain Perfect Start

A 1st Star performance from Colorado Avalanche goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere ensured a shut 2-0 victory against the Boston Bruins away at the TD Garden last night to push their winning record to 4 straight wins over new coach Patrick Roy.

Goals from Ryan O'Reilly, who scored a tip in goal with only 40 secs of the 1st period remaining and a late empty net goal in the third from Matt Duchene capped off a brilliant performance but it was Giguere who deserves all the plaudits as his 39 saves proved key to shutting out the Bruins!

I don't know what is happening so far in Denver but Patrick Roy is making it work!

Erat Wants Out Of Washington

It seems that Washington's Czech fourth-liner isn't happy and wants out of the nation's capital. A few years ago Erat was the Nashville Predator's starting right winger, terrorising defences across the length and breadth of the NHL. But those days are gone, Erat was traded to the Washington Capitals in the 2013 trade deadline after waiving his no-trade clause and asking to move. It seems though that the grass is not always greener and Erat revealed to the Czech press (and subsequently the local press) that he's unhappy and wants to move on. "It's time for me to move on." He said. The Caps' GM; George McPhee has accepted that after averaging just 13 minutes ice time per game and totalling six points for the season, it's probably time to look elsewhere.

Welcome to the Fifth Liners book club, the first in a hopefully regular series of book reviews. The book: Catalyst (Star Wars): A Rogue One Novel Written by: James Luceno Format: Audiobook (read by Jonathan Davis) Aside from the (non-canon) comics in the Lego magazine, I've never delved into the written world of Star Wars before. There have been Star Wars books for as at least as long as the films (the first was released in 1976 as far as I can tell), and these books ranged from novelisations of the movies through to completely original stories. These stories, published under the Expanded Universe banner, covered pretty much every time period possible, including subjects covered in Catalyst. In 2014, the Expanded Universe was rebranded as Legends, and now only content produced after 2014 is considered canon. The movies and Clone Wars cartoon/film are also canon, for obvious reasons.
