Why The Cincinnati Bengals Just Became Your Second Team

We're one game into week four of the NFL and so far only three teams have maintained perfect records. The Cincinnati Bengals are the only team from the AFC to have no losses to their name.

The Baltimore Ravens were the first to fall, followed by the Atlanta Falcons and most recently the Tennessee Titans. Andy Dalton is the only Quarterback in the league to have not been sacked this season, testament to the strength of the pocket. The defense is also playing its part. The Bengals have only allowed an average of 11 points per game. The best in the NFL.

So why should the Bengals deserve your support? The world loves an underdog. Cincinnati may be top the AFC now but they've never lifted won a Super Bowl, they've only made it to the final twice and there's still 13 games left to play.

Off the field the Bengals have also made the headlines for right reasons. Defensive tackle Devon Still was dropped from the squad at the start of the season, but the Bengals re-signed him to the practice squad so he'd still have the medical insurance and income to pay for his four-year-old daughter's cancer treatment. As well as this, the team are also donating all proceeds from sales of his jersey to paediatric cancer research.

That really was a good move by the team, and done for the right reasons too. It's one of the reasons why we wish the team success this season.
